There is no need to raise the weight any higher than just above shoulder-height as this will move the stress away from your shoulders. Also remember to keep your arms slightly bent throughout the entire exercise. In order to maximize muscle stimulation and prevent lower back stress, try to move naturally throughout this movement rather than keeping your back completely straight and rigid. Allow your form to loosen up a little bit and use a tiny bit of momentum as you lift and lower the weight. |
