Cable Machine with low pully, v-bar attachment or (straight bar)
Proper Execution:
Hold the v-bar with your palms facing in grip. With a slight bend in your knees, move your body into a rowing position with your arms fully extended in front of you. With a slight bend at the waist, pull the bar in towards your lower abs and squeeze your mid-back together as you return to an upright position. After a brief pause, return the bar back to the starting position.
Tips:
In order to place as much emphasis on the back muscles as possible, focus on arching your back and sticking your chest out. It's okay to use a slight bit of body momentum on the last few reps rather than trying to remain completely rigid and upright. This exercise can also be performed using a straight-bar attachment.
